Privacy Policy

Your privacy is paramount. NullClaw is built from the ground up with a "Local First" philosophy, ensuring you maintain absolute control over your data.

1. Data Sovereignty

We do not collect, store, or process any of your personal data. NullClaw is not a SaaS platform; it is an infrastructure layer that you install and run on your own hardware. All data, including assistant memories, identity files, cryptographic keys, and execution logs, remains exclusively on your machine.

2. Zero Telemetry

NullClaw does not contain any hidden telemetry, "phone-home" features, or tracking mechanisms. The binary only communicates with the network endpoints you explicitly configure—such as your preferred LLM provider or your own remote server instances.

3. LLM Provider Interactions

When you use NullClaw to interact with third-party LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter), your data is sent to those providers to generate responses. This data transfer is subject to the respective privacy policies of those providers. We recommend using providers that offer privacy-preserving features and zero-retention policies for API usage.

4. Local State and Security

Your identity files (`.identity`) and assistant states are stored locally using file-level permissions managed by your operating system. We recommend using full-disk encryption on your host machine to further protect this data from physical unauthorized access.

5. Website Privacy

This website (nullclaw.org) reflects our commitment to privacy. We do not use tracking cookies, pixel tags, or invasive analytics. Standard server logs are kept briefly for security monitoring and are automatically purged.

The "Null" in NullClaw

The name "NullClaw" represents our goal of zero-friction and **zero-collection**. We believe the best way to protect your privacy is to never have your data in the first place.
